Delta-NTU Joint Research & Development Center

Delta-NTU Joint Research & Development Center

National Taiwan University and Delta Electronics, Inc. entered into a research and development cooperation agreement on August 1, 2020. This collaboration aims to leverage industry trends to jointly develop cutting-edge technologies. The goal is to enhance the integration of virtual and real intelligence applications and foster the growth of highly skilled research and development professionals. As part of this initiative, the Functional Delta-NTU Joint Research & Development Center was established within National Taiwan University's College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This center, situated on the third floor of the MK Innovation. Hall, was officially inaugurated in March 2022.

Defining the Future of Sustainable

Defining the Future of Sustainable

Delta is committed to innovative research and development, investing over 8% of its global revenue annually into R&D. Delta has also been steadfast in addressing environmental protection and global warming issues, continuously dedicated to product research, technological innovation, and providing high-efficiency, reliable energy-saving solutions and services. Delta aims to alleviate the impact of global warming on human existence, contributing its part towards sustainable development.

共同研發具潛力之前瞻技術

Our center operates on two core principles: Autonomous and Sustainable.

Autonomous aims to reduce human intervention in system or technological control, enabling machines to autonomously perform expected functions and exploring the advancements of next-generation technology.

Sustainable aligns with Delta's corporate philosophy, striving to provide more environmentally friendly and sustainable product technologies as the foundation for achieving societal and environmental sustainability.

Currently, we focus on three main themes: Artificial Intelligence of Things, Electric Vehicles, and Sustainability. Recent research initiatives cover topics such as Electronic Vehicles, Artificial Intelligence, Operational Technology Security, Digital Twin Simulation, among others. Future plans involve further investment in technological research related to sustainable themes like green energy technology and the circular economy.

AIoT

To provide smarter, safer, and more efficient technology and processes for areas such as buildings, factories, and energy and information communication infrastructure.

Focus on advanced simulation technology to enhance design efficiency, AI algorithms and technologies aimed at increasing product added value, intelligent automation technology optimizing industrial manufacturing or processes, and cybersecurity systems ensuring operational continuity and resilience. The objective is to provide smarter, safer, and more efficient technology and processes for areas such as buildings, factories, and energy and information communication infrastructure.

Electric Vehicle

To enable EV charging systems and drive systems to quickly catch up to the state-of-the-art manufacturing processes achieved by conventional fuel vehicles.

The research focus on electronic motor drives and motors, integrating third-generation semiconductor components and modules in power electronics. This aims to enable EV charging systems and drive systems to quickly catch up to the state-of-the-art manufacturing processes achieved by conventional fuel vehicles. The goal is to enhance environmental efficiency while simultaneously delivering a safer and more comfortable driving experience.

Sustainability

To enhance energy efficiency, reduce resource pollution and consumption. Additionally, we will invest in technologies that improve product durability, reusability, and recyclability.

Combining Delta's extensive expertise in energy technology, we emphasize the development of technologies that assist in energy resource management, such as smart grids and energy storage systems. This focus aims to enhance energy efficiency, reduce resource pollution and consumption. Additionally, we will invest in technologies that improve product durability, reusability, and recyclability. Furthermore, efforts will be directed towards refining processes to achieve energy efficiency and reduce the use of raw materials.

Joint co-creation space

Delta collaborates with National Taiwan University to create an innovative integrated experimental environment, combining the research capabilities of both entities. The design of the research and development space is based on Delta's blue, complemented by light blue representing intelligence, and green symbolizing nature and sustainability. This design highlights Delta's commitment to clean and green energy with vibrant colors. Grey, representing intellect, signifies the university's collection of Taiwan's top talents and resources, showcasing substantial research capabilities. The establishment of this experimental field facilitates the practical application of technology, enhancing the influence of research outcomes. This includes the development of a sustainable garage for electric vehicle-related technology research and a Makerspace-equipped virtual and real integrated laboratory. These spaces offer researchers the facilities for relevant development, design, production, and validation.
